The Juniata County Commissioners held their regular weekly meeting on Tuesday, where they recognized Business Women’s Week. Danielle Shellenberger, president of the Business and Professional Women of Pennsylvania, accepted the proclamation for the week of October 20th to the 24th. Shellenberger told county leaders that the organization’s efforts in providing leadership training, financial literacy workshops, and mentoring for women across the state is ongoing. The group also hosts monthly webinars on various topics and supports local libraries and students through donations and contests. In other business yesterday, the commissioners approved several county measures, including appointments to the library board and agreements for county services.
