Three people were displaced after a fire broke out late Monday night at an apartment building on South Jefferson Street in Mount Union. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the second floor of the structure, which housed three apartments. Crews brought the fire under control within about 30 minutes, but remained on scene until midnight. Multiple fire companies assisted, and the American Red Cross is helping those displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal’s office. No injuries were reported.
