School Threats Show Marked Increase

Pennsylvania school districts are on high alert due to a surge in violent threats targeting schools. In less than two months since the start of the school year, police across 45 states have arrested over 700 juveniles, including a fourth grader, for making such threats. This uptick follows a tragic shooting incident at a High School in Georgia that claimed the lives of two teachers and two students. Recently, Pennsylvania State Police arrested a juvenile in Perry County for an online threat involving a deadly shooting, while another juvenile was taken into custody in Cumberland County for threatening shootings at local middle schools. School officials are urging vigilance and swift reporting of any suspicious activity.
