The Mifflin County High School Marching Band faced wet conditions during the Huskies’ football game at Palmyra on Friday night. Due to safety concerns, they opted for a “stand-still” performance instead of marching. On Saturday, the band competed at the 57th Annual Black Diamond Cavalcade in Shamokin, where they performed under improved weather and took first place with a score of 86.8. That score places them at the top of the Tournament of Bands Group 4-Open Class. The band now looks forward to Homecoming at Mitchell Field this Friday, featuring a performance with over 150 alumni.
