The Mifflin County Veterans Organization held its monthly meeting last week at St. John’s Lutheran Church, featuring retired Vice Admiral Keith Lippert as the guest speaker. Lippert, who is also the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Military Community Enhancement Commission, shared insights from his distinguished military career, including his tenure as the 14th Director of the Defense Logistics Agency. With an impressive record, Lippert is the longest-serving director in DLA history, overseeing crucial logistics for the military. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Defense Superior Service Medal and three Legion of Merits. Rotary Co-Chair Nick Felice also attended to invite veterans to a luncheon on November 11 at the Reedsville Fire Hall. Veterans interested in attending are asked to register by November 1. The Mifflin County Veterans Organization meets monthly, with the next gathering scheduled for October 31.
