Penn State Trustee May Be Removed

The Penn State Board of Trustees is considering the removal of Barry Fenchak, an alumni-elected trustee, following a review of a code of conduct violation. The Governance Committee has recommended his removal after Fenchak allegedly violated professionalism standards during a verbal interaction with a staff member. This recommendation will be presented to the full board, with the next meeting scheduled for November 7-8. Fenchak, who has been a trustee since July 2022, is also involved in a lawsuit against the board over transparency issues.
