Several museums in Mifflin, Juniata, and Huntingdon counties will offer free admission on Tri-County Museum Day, happening Saturday, Sept. 14. The event, supported by volunteers, allows visitors to explore various cultural and historical sites across the region without spending a dime. Highlights include the McCoy House Museum’s “Hail to the Chiefs” exhibit in Lewistown, showcasing U.S. Presidents who visited Mifflin County, and a special display of school tower bells at the newly renovated Hoopes School. Visitors can enjoy all the museums, which are all open for this one-day event.
