A local man has been arraigned on charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment. 42 year old Costel Tomescu-Baldovin of Lewistown, is accused of trying to hit another person with his SUV in the Sheetz parking lot. Police say after initially fleeing the scene, Tomescu-Baldovin tried to run over the victim again. The vehicle was later spotted at Walmart, leading to his arrest. He is currently behind bars, being held on $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 5.
