Guilty Verdict in Huntingdon County

In Huntingdon County, Morico Johnson was found guilty of first-degree murder for a double homicide dating back to 2009. The jury deliberated briefly before returning the verdict. The defense argued that evidence was compromised and investigators’ memories were unclear, but multiple blood samples from the scene matched Johnson’s DNA. Johnson’s alibi was also deemed suspicious. Johnson, who was arrested in 2022 after DNA evidence linked him to the crime, will be sentenced on October 17.
