A New York man has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for passing counterfeit $20 bills in central and northeastern Pennsylvania. U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann also ordered 27 year old Dejuan Smartt of Brooklyn to pay restitution totaling $6,300 to a whopping total of 16 stores. Smartt will serve three years of supervised release after his prison term. He is also facing prosecution in New York for an unrelated case.
