Yesterday, we took a closer look at Mifflin County’s primary election results. Today, we examine Juniata County’s unofficial primary election results, where former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden emerged as the top vote-getters in their respective parties… no surprise there. Trump secured 2,606 of 3,047 total votes in the Republican primary, while Biden garnered 687 of 879 votes in the Democratic race. Additionally, Dave McCormick claimed victory on the Republican side for the U.S. Senate seat, earning 2,872 votes, while Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey Jr. received 836 votes. Dave Sunday led the Republican race for Attorney General with 2,022 votes, while Eugene Depasquale emerged as the top choice among Democrats, securing 436 votes. Tim Defoor ran unopposed for Auditor General, and Stacy Garrity similarly ran unopposed for State Treasurer. The congressional races also saw unopposed candidates, with John Joyce and Beth Farnham winning in the 13th District, and Perry Stambaugh securing victory in the 86th District.
