Police now say it was a domestic-related shooting on Sunday in Mifflin County that left a woman wounded. Lewistown Police answered a call Sunday around 2:30pm from the 500 block of West 4th Street about a possible shooting. When officers arrived, they found a woman who was shot twice in the side. She was rushed to the hospital with what were said to be non life threatening injuries. Her name has not been released, and there has been no further update on her condition. Police say the shooting happened when the victim got into some sort of altercation with another person in the house, and at the time, she was armed with a knife. They say it was an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public. No information was released about the person who shot the woman, and there has been no information released indicating any arrest.
