Sign Up for Invasive Plant Seminar

Penn State Extension is planning a workshop on invasive plants, which they say can have a wide range of negative impacts on the environment. In an effort to better identify them and to educate people about how to deal with them, the Penn State Extension office in Lewistown is holding an in-person informational workshop from 8:30 to 10:30am on Wednesday, February 21st that will focus on identifying common invasive plant species and offer strategies for controlling them. Anyone with an interest in learning more about invasive plants and their management is encouraged to attend. The cost is $10 per person and registration can be completed online. A light breakfast will be provided, and pesticide applicator credits will be available. You can sign up now at extension.psu.edu/invasive-plant-identification-and-management.
