A new study ranks Pennsylvania counties by order of vehicle accident fatalities. According to the Fatality Analysis Reporting System compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, counties are ranked by the number of deaths per 100,000 people. The higher the ranking, the more deaths there were in that county. In 2020, Forest and Green Counties tied for first place. Huntingdon County was one of the safest, coming in at #50. Juniata fared even better, showing up at #60. Mifflin County did even better than that, coming in at #65.
