Folks in and around the Juniata River Valley get a chance this week to learn more about the work of international artisans and fair trade during the 28th annual International Gift Sale. The event kicks off tomorrow, and it runs for three days at the Cedar Grove Brethren Church on Deerville Road. Hours are 6 to 8pm Thursday, then 9am to 7pm Friday and 9 to 3 on Saturday. There will be jewelry, accessories, and crafts from talented individuals in third-world countries. It’s being presented by Geisinger and volunteers. Over the past 28 years, the gift sale has raised nearly $200,000.
