State Senator Judy Ward won the Republican nomination Tuesday. She was running unopposed. In the general election, Ward will face challenger Carol Taylor, who was running unopposed Democratic primary. Incumbent Republican Congressman John Joyce won the Republican nomination in an unopposed race in the new 13th Congressional District, which now includes Mifflin and Juniata counties. No Democrats are running in November so he is virtually guaranteed a victory in the general election.
