Authorities: Generator Caused House Fire

In Granville Township, a house fire on Rowe Drive was traced back to a portable generator used during a power outage caused by a passing storm. First responders arrived to find heavy fire on one side of the home, which had quickly spread up the structure. Thankfully, all three occupants, along with their pets, managed to escape safely. Multiple fire companies and emergency services responded to the scene. Meanwhile, officials with the West Granville Fire Co. emphasized the importance of generator safety, advising everyone to keep generators at least 20 feet away from homes and to direct exhaust away from windows and doors.
