Mifflin County Businessman Facing Prison Time for Tax Scheme

A Mifflin County man has been convicted of tax evasion following a scheme to evade income and employment taxes for several years. 55 year old Brandon Aumiller, who owned an insurance sales company, failed to pay taxes totaling over $107,000 owed to the IRS. When the IRS attempted to collect, Aumiller engaged in a multi-year effort to conceal assets and transactions, including using nominee bank accounts and submitting false financial disclosures. Aumiller’s sentencing is scheduled for September 4th, and he faces a maximum of five years in prison for each count.
