18-year-old Maiky Dan Alicea Rivera of Mifflintown was arrested and is facing charges now including fleeing police and reckless endangerment following an incident that took place last week. Police say Rivera fled from an off-duty officer at high speed. The officer had noticed Rivera and others blocking the entrance to Jack’s Drive-in. Later, the officer while still on duty, attempted to pull Rivera over for not wearing eye protection. But Rivera continued through an intersection and fled at a high rate of speed. The officer lost sight of him on West River Road. Rivera was later identified, arrested, and locked up behind bars. His bail was set at $20,000 unsecured, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. on March 21.
