Woman Jailed After Vehicle Incident at Indian Valley Elementary School

Mifflin County Regional Police officers were recently dispatched to the Indian Valley Elementary School in Brown Township for an erratic driver complaint. A woman in a Kia Rio was following another driver from the area of Tea Creek Road to the school complex, and witnesses described the driver’s mannerisms as erratic and concerning. The vehicle left the school property without incident and was last seen traveling toward Yeagertown. Police again encountered it on North Main Street in Yeagertown, and when the driver observed the marked police car, she
completely entered the opposing lane of traffic and attempted to ram the police vehicle head on. She took off, kicking off a chase that ended on Route 522 on the outskirts of Huntingdon where she was finally stopped. Police took 51 year old Rebecca Jo Kline into custody. Officers suspected Kline to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and inside the car they found drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine. Kline was given a room in the Mifflin County Prison.
