Man Arrested for Trying to Commandeer Emergency Vehicle

A 32-year-old man was arrested after he tried to commandeer an emergency vehicle. Dylan James Miller of Yeagertown, was apprehended by authorities on Sunday. It all began Sunday just after 10pm, when Mifflin County Regional Police responded to 8 S. Mann Avenue in Yeagertown, where emergency responders were grappling with Miller, who was trying to steal an ambulance. Earlier that night, Miller had been involved in a domestic dispute. Despite being advised that he was under arrest, Miller refused, leading to a physical altercation, in which he punched and kicked at officers, resisting their attempts to take him into custody. That left several officers with minor injuries, and one officer required outpatient treatment at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Miller now faces charges including aggravated assault, disarming a law enforcement officer, simple assault, and resisting arrest.
