Two separate vehicle pursuits over the weekend involved officers with the Mifflin County Regional Police, Lewistown Police, and Granville Township Police. Two people were arrested. Eric McMinn of Lewistown faces felony charges including DUI. McMinn is now behind bars in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility after the incident that happened Saturday night. Then early Sunday… around 3:40am… police were involved in a second chase that began after they got a call about a suspicious vehicle at Mount Rock Cemetery. The chase later ended when the 17 year old driver, whose name has not been released, missed the sharp turn on Ferguson Valley Road at Winding Lane due to high speed and ran off the road, hitting several parked cars. Two juvenile passengers were taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Others were arrested and turned over to family members. Police say alcohol was involved. The 17-year-old driver now faces felony charges. The others face underage alcohol-related charges.
